Universal Technical Institute - When my service [Military] ended, I decided to turn my passion into a career
I was introduced to the automotive field at a young age by family and friends. However, it wasn’t until I was a diesel technician in the Army that I really developed an interest for diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
When my service ended, I decided to turn my passion into a career. That’s when I learned about UTI-Orlando and immediately enrolled because of the stellar reputation it has in the auto industry. I had the best experience at UTI-Orlando and graduated with a wealth of knowledge, industry connections and friendships. The instructors were phenomenal, and I enjoyed the extensive hands-on training with gasoline-powered vehicles of all makes and models.
Knowing my desire to work on MINI Coopers, I enrolled in UTI-Orlando’s competitive Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training programs, which are courses designed to train high-quality technicians for specific dealers. Due to the high-demand for technicians, I had the opportunity to target dealerships in the regions where I wanted to work. Ultimately, I accepted a great job as a service technician at MINI of Tucson in Arizona.
Because of the skills I learned at UTI-Orlando, I’ve been able to gradually climb the ladder over the years and I’m now a service advisor for MINI of Arlington. I love my job and I’m privileged to work in an industry that I am passionate about.
Reason of review: Good quality.
