I went to UTI Glendale Heights Illinois from 2009 to 2010 and I can tell you it's garbage.they play nice with you and lie to you to sign you up and once you sign up you're on your own.

you are not allowed to miss a certain amount of time otherwise you're not allowed to pass no matter the circumstances. you get treated like a child worse than high school and if you have trouble understanding material you cannot ask an instructor for help because they don't. the instructors the did help and what did with the students I'll get put down. also a lot of the instructors skip over a lot of the material.

when you complain to him SF this they just say it's unnecessary. at the end when you're supposed to get your tools you don't get nearly as much as you were told they say a thousand dollars worth of snap on but you can only choose from a few snap on Sat it actually come out till like seven or eight hundred dollars. on top of it all if you want to transfer your credits only a few very few schools do except the credits.if you really want to be a mechanic you don't have toto go to this school you can go to a community college which is way better and stre cheaper. the credits will transfer also and really you can find out a lot of this just by going online and watching videos in reading books go to a local shop express your interest and you can learn there and it's better than this school.

I've only had two jobs at the school didn't help find at all and neither cared that I went to UTI and actually almost cost me my job that's how bad the school is. you can get jobs at dealerships but the only ones I've ever seen people get are as car porters. UTI is a scam and a joke do not recommend this for anyone. it will put you in extreme debt for information you can get off books and the Internet.

they will argue do you get hands-on experience but you don't get that much at all.all they do is make print out and tell you what to do like filling the sentence lol its a joke school if you're in the Glendale Heights area go to College of DuPage even lincoln tech but not this trash garbage good for nothing waste of money robbing fake lying school.

Monetary Loss: $50000.

I attended UTI in 1998-1999 and I know what you are feeling like when you may think that you were treated like a child. I know now why they did. They wanted me to succeed.

Your complaint on the attendance... REALLY?!?!? if you owned a business and your employee was like you and missed a lot of time. Would you keep them around??? NO! And if you said yes then Im sure your business wouldnt make much money. I want Technicains in my shop that will WORK. I would not *** that kind of attendance anyways if I was hiring from UTI. I missed a lot of time in one of my classes due to food poisoning and I didnt miss the max, what I did miss was TOO much so I did spend many afternoons getting tutoring and refreshed so I could pass the class.

The Training?? Well Ill say this you get what you put in. I had friends that slacked off and hated it because they didnt have great grades and most people that age cant admit they are wrong. These instructors also train the technicains for many companies and manufacturers for their continuous education programs and we're not talking about matel toys or something we're talking about BMW, Mercedes, Schlumberger, etc.

Honestly I think you need to check your integrity and re-evaluate what you're saying and see if it was because you were immature at that time. I know I was and it seemed that way and "I was a "man" and I didnt need to be treated that way!" so many of us young men during that time need to check our...

Hello, I am extremely sorry to hear you have had an unsatisfactory experience with UTI.

However, I feel the need to address a few of the claims you have stated within your complaint. I can assure you and anyone else viewing that we are not a scam and are held to strict regulations by the U.S. Department of Education on the information we disclose. Our disclosure information (student, graduate, and employment rates) can be found on the Universal Technical Institute website under the "Student Services" tab. We also provide a PDF of our student catalog (found under any program link) which contains information on the diplomas and certificates offered at any of our campuses as well as information on the transferability of credits to other institutions. UTI awards an Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS)degree in Automotive Technology and diplomas at its Avondale, Arizona, location. All other campuses award diplomas The graduation document awarded for the program in which students are enrolled is shown on the tuition addendum, which also outlines the length and cost of each program.

We know that UTI isn't for everyone, however, with over 30 manufacturer relationships, over 160,000 graduates over 45 years and 4 out of 5 graduates finding employment within their field of study within 1 year of graduation, we believe that UTI is one of the best training options around.

Our programs, campuses and labs replicate the experience that you’ll likely have with...

As for the Snap-on Tools voucher, students who are near graduation and have no outstanding obligations to the school will receive a "Career Starter Tool Set Voucher" valued at $605, redeemable for a choice of Snap-on tools valued up to $1,000 regular retail price.

I also can assure you that we do care about our students (prospective, current, and graduates). While we cannot guarantee employment, we do pride ourselves on helping our students from the beginning and throughout their entire career. This includes helping assist with your job hunt. Have you been working directly with your Graduate Employment Specialist to help aid in your job search? If you need help connecting with that person, I would be happy to help.

If you feel that you were lied to or had issues with an instructor that Student Services or your Education Manager were unable to help address, than that is defintietly a concern and I would welcome to hear more about your situation in hopes of rectifying any wrong-doing. You can reach me at difry@uti.edu. Thank you, Diana Fry - Social Marketing Specialist, UTI/MMI/NTI

I also went to UTI in Phoenix when it was on Weldon and Grand Ave in 1997-98.This school sucks.

Instructors only bullshitted and talked about *** stories and how great they were back in the day. I recommend anyone looking for a career in auto-diesel to go straight to an employer and learn by watching and helping out a master technician.

If you attend this school after paying out of your *** youll only get jobs changing oils, tires, brakes, which requires no skills. You can get those jobs without the useless associates degree.
