Universal Technical Institute - They took the extra time to help make sure I understood what we were doing
When I graduated from high school, I went to the local junior college for a semester. I realized pretty quickly that I didn’t want to do the prerequisites.
I wanted less homework and more hands-on, and working on cars was always something that I wanted to do. I chose UTI because it was straightforward, to the point and it covered the technical information that I knew I needed. Before going to UTI, I did my own oil changes, brake jobs, and replaced belts and hoses. The UTI instructors were great.
They took the extra time to help make sure I understood what we were doing. Going to UTI gave me the basics and hands-on experience I needed. Nothing compares to getting experience in a real work environment. I took advanced training programs because I felt the more training I had, the more prepared I would be.
I now have my dream job working for a great company like Mercedes-Benz. They are on the cutting edge of technology. I knew what I needed to do once I graduated and started working, and going to UTI put me on a good path. I wouldn’t be where I am today if I hadn’t added the advanced training programs.
It took a little more time but it was well worth the extra time and money.
The training I had helped justify getting paid more. I now get to go to work and do what I like to do.
