Universal Technical Institute - The hands-on training at MMI helped me learn to work fast but without mistakes
I had been studying finance for two years when I realized I was not interested in the restricted cubicle lifestyle that I was heading toward. While working at a machine shop, I researched MMI and liked the idea of hands-on training and quick schooling/graduation, and it seemed very popular and had great reviews online.
The relationships that MMI has with manufacturer partners shows that MMI is serious about teaching students exactly what's in the real world. Not only does it give more opportunity to learn about more than one brand but it gives us more credibility when in the work environment. The hands-on training at MMI helped me learn to work fast but without mistakes. It was nice to make the mistakes at school versus after graduation on a customer’s bike or ATV.
The campus was very organized and clean, and a great environment to study in. I never had one instructor that I didn't like. They all seemed like they were passionate about teaching and wanted me to succeed. I always felt comfortable and enjoyed my days at school in class, and it was never a dull moment working around others trying to build a dream career.
I always tell others that my time at MMI was some of the best time of my life. My MMI training helped me become more comfortable around expensive toys that most would be afraid to even touch. Problem-solving is a big skill I came away with that always helps me figure out a way to conquer any problem. I was confident enough that I started my own business and my skills have only gotten better as time progressed.
I built an engine that broke a Pro Sand Drags Association world record for the fastest 0-425cc limited twin cylinder two-stroke, and my name MacDaddy Racing is getting bigger and bigger every day.
I am jam-packed with work and am currently backed up over a month.I am making more than enough money to pay my loans back and enjoy my life to the fullest.
