As a sophomore in high school, I made the decision to attend UTI because I knew with that education and the partner relationships that UTI has I could get my foot in the door at most service shops.I chose UTI because of the great training facility and variety of training options offered.
Upon acceptance to UTI, I moved from Washington to Arizona, which was very hard at first but then I got busy studying and working. The instructors were great and really wanted to make us technicians, not students. It was interesting being in classes with other technicians whose ages ranged from 25 to 45. At UTI, I worked and studied hard.
I left UTI with 10 PACCAR certifications and I was only 20.
I feel like I am truly valued by my employer and have a solid career. Not only do I enjoy what I do every day but I get to help my family and friends with their cars and that feels good.
