As a kid, my father was an engineer in the US Coast Guard and we lived on a sailboat. He also loved to work on cars, so I was always around engines. My freshman year of high school, we moved to Washington and my father became an UTI Admissions Representative. To earn...

I was introduced to the automotive field at a young age by family and friends. However, it wasn’t until I was a diesel technician in the Army that I really developed an interest for diagnosing and repairing vehicles. When my service ended, I decided to turn my passion...

Ive loved cars since I was young but I really didnt know how to repair them. As I was completing five years in the Marine Corps, I met a UTI recruiter who showed me a way to combine my love of cars with a career. I enrolled in the Auto/Diesel program at UTI-Dallas/Fort...

Universal Technical Institute Classes Review from Concord, North Carolina

Very unhappy with school mooresville, n.c. Campus. Staff is not helpful at all. Teachers really dont care. They make empty promises. They take advantage of the self pay students. They rather see you.fail because they make more money when you repeat classes then take the extra time to help you through... Dont waste your money...I wish I knew then what I know now I would have saved 50,000.00

Universal Technical Institute - Uti Automotive Technical Training Review from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

I'm 18 and am attending uti just like this post says don't listen to all the negative comments because these are the people they tell you about the people that didn't get there job or because they did something that prevented them getting the job but so far I love uti it's for the people that really love Cars yeah you only work at dealership at first but there's room for you either to move up like have plan don't just expect it to be handed to you like there's always employers looking for uti and some people say it's a waste of money how? Because you didn't get that job ha! That's the only thing I've seen people complaining about and the thing about the drugs of course uti didn't want anyone to know like if you were the president of the school do you think u would see a decline in money and attendence if everyone knew that happened in a apartment with uti students and it's like that with other colleges as well they never want to tell but somehow people find out and I'm not a uti fan boy I first I was going to attend community college but because I was always obsessed with cars and Ik a couple of friends who went there they loved it I decided to try and I'll probably still might go to college to get my business degree so I can one day open up my own shop! Like come on who wouldn't want to work on supra or Integra type R they have svt's not that mustangs are the best but there's plenty of opportunities here and you.csn even work on your own vehicle I can't wait for the high performance class!! Thanks guys choose wisely

Universal Technical Institute - Program Review from Rancho Cucamonga, California

I graduated from UTI 2012. I was impressed with the facility. Some classes were a little boring but I did learn many things that I now use in the industry. I make $22 an hour as diesel tech. Some staff were rude but many were great, helpful and tried to help me, especially in financial aid. My rep was a man named Enrique and he was straight forward told me keep attendance strong, driving record clean, be proactive in class because you get out of it what you put into it. So that's my advice for whoever is thinking about attending at UTI

Universal Technical Institute - Uti Automotive Technical Training Review from Ocala, Florida

Absolutely the worst place to go to actually learn about the automotive technology we have today. Only thing you will learn here is patience. The staff lacks the ability to actually understand the subjects and the school only try's to help you if your failing . So unless you're a complete retard or completely unable to ever make it to school the school have no hope for you no ability to do anything for you. This is a "get by "program they only care about the money and making sure that they're passing percentage is higher.

Universal Technical Institute - Program Review from Spring, Texas

I am a current student at uti. they are nothing but a bunch of thieves. this is $30,000 school that when you enroll they charge you $150.00 application fee. this school just had an incident where a student dealing drugs kidnaps another uti student for money she owed him, in housing that they are connected to. they had a lot of students using drugs and they turn the blind eye because they don't want to lose money.

Universal Technical Institute in Orlando, Florida - Understaffed, POOR attitude from teachers,

Ive been attending the Orlando campus since Sep 2014 . I have 3.00 across the board B's in every class . I have nearly perfect attenedence , professionalism , and my HANDS-ON is off the charts . This school expects us to be perfect test takers witch some of us students aren't like me ... Therefore our grade go down in each class a few points . Most 3.00gpa guys struggle on TEST NOT hands on . I ALSO bring up to point you have kids, that have no clue hands on and NEVER WILL but can pass the test {cheaters} . So I feel the school isn't worth my 32,000 or so dollars i've spent and WOULDNT RECCOMEND to anybody . And CHS OF ORLANDO IS A JOKE . Totally RIP PEOPLE OFF.
