Universal Technical Institute - You get out of it what you put into it.

Universal Technical Institute
I graduated UTI from the Houston Campus in 1987. I have worked my way through the independant side of the industry for the last 31 years. The last 22 years has been running my own 10 bay shop in the North Dallas area. I have employees working for me that also went to UTI and are some of the brightest most talented young individuals i have seen. It's not an easy career path and does have several challenges to it. As far as the school goes I... Read more

Universal Technical Institute - Overall average

Universal Technical Institute
To all the haters. Uti isnt for everyone. If it wasnt for you people respect that but it does help for lots of people. For me i tried for months to apply to many shops even with alot of knowledge and my stepdad as a master tech for 25 years at ford i was getting nowhere. I took a year at uti and now work at ford making 35,000 a year or a little more. Im barely halfway into my first year. So its all about the effort you put in. If i had put in... Read more

Universal Technical Institute - Work Hard get paid well.

Universal Technical Institute
I went to the Exton, PA campus. This field is for people that are knowledge thirsty, physically strong, work hard and are independent. If whoever is attending the school does not have all of those they will fail. I went to college and I also went to this school. You learn a whole lot especially if you apply yourself and force yourself to learn it not just memorize it to get grades. You also need to be on time. If you do not do those things you... Read more

My son graduated from UTI Dallas on February 2, 2018 and there are not enough words to express my gratitude and joy for what UTI did for him. Because of a hearing impairment, school has always been laborious for him and his self esteem was diminished because of it. But...

This company and it is a company, not a school is one of the most deceitful and underhanded companies there is. Kim McWaters and her merry band of thieves will fleece you for all the money you have saved for you child's education and then they will force you to pay...

Dear internet people, I just graduated last week from UTI with an Auto Technology and full F.A.C.T certification. I thankfully had the GI Bill to cover most of the tuition and only have a $7k loan which is better than most of the people coming to UTI. I am 21 years old...

I attended UTI (Houston) right out of high school. I graduated in 1987 with the associate's degree in Auto and Diesel Technology. Even with their placement help, it took about nine months to find a job at the time, as in Beaumont, TX the market was flooded. I was...
